Welcome the Utah County Hometown Guru, a companion site to the Daily Herald’s Best of Utah Valley readers’ choice awards contest.

Each year in Best of Utah Valley, we ask the public to nominate, and then vote for, their favorite businesses, businesspeople, events, and attractions in Utah County, Utah.

On Utah County Hometown Guru, you’ll find the winners, finalists, and top-five vote-getters from the contest, so when you’re looking for the best burger, the right dentist for you, a good plumber, and more, you’ve got solid recommendations from folks in the know. Pretty much all of Utah County’s favorites are right here!

How do I know where a business placed in Best of the Best?

When you’re viewing a business, note the gold, grey, and white tags above its name that show where it finished in Best of Utah Valley—first, second, and third place—and in which year. If a business that won in prior years has since closed, there will be a red “closed” tag above it. We’ve retained those businesses to honor their victories.
